I've taught in classrooms, co-founded a startup and built brands from scratch. That is not a typical design background and that is exactly the point.

A background in psychology taught me how people think. Ten years in teaching taught me how to listen. Four years of freelance design and co-founding Wave Rider, a mobile app for couples navigating PMDD, taught me how to build something from nothing.
